What's in a Name?

We are frequently asked what Turning the Wheel means. Alana Shaw, Founder and Executive Director, shared her inspiration for the name: "Turning the Wheel grew out of our connection to the earth and to our belief in the renewal and regeneration that is always possible for all of us - the cycles of life, the cycles of healing, the cycles of the moon, and the cycles of the earth and growing things, and the importance of intergenerational work as we honor and embrace all stages of life. It is rooted in the belief that you do not have to change your past to create a new future - new beginnings are always there, ready for us to embrace. The Wheel is always turning towards evolution!"
