Who

Building Healthy Communities through Creative Expression

Founded in 1989, Turning the Wheel has touched the lives of over 50,000 people in 12 cities and more than 600 schools and organizations around the country. Imagine the ripple effect as TTW enthusiasts bring a sense of joy and self-confidence into your schools, communities, and families!

“The workshops and residencies you have done here…have had remarkable results. Children who had never met before had fun as they successfully communicated, created and worked hard together as they developed their performance pieces. They respected each others’ ideas and perspectives.”

Turning the Wheel uses the power of art to foster communities, build leaders, and share the joy of self-expression with participants of all ages, economic situations, genders, ethnic backgrounds and challenges.

A national non-profit organization based in Boulder, Colorado, we bring interactive and experiential arts programs to diverse groups using a unique model that builds our participants’ confidence in their own and each other’s creativity. Our programs build over a period of hours, days, weeks, semesters or a full year, so at the end of our time together, participants have joined their talents and visions to create a special performance for their peers and families.
